  Came recently with a large group of people. First of all, there is an 18% gratuity they automatically add to everyone's receipt in addition to the high cost of the food, when normal tip should be 13-15% in the state of Virginia. Unfortunately the food wasn't great either. Ordered the chicken kabob, and it was very dry. Squeezing lemons on top helped a little. The worst part was the service. Afterwards, we had to ask to see the manager because the waitress accused us of not paying for two meals. We even showed our receipts as proof. Reading the reviews, this has happened before. Be careful coming here! Never before had I been so embarrassed or had been accused of not paying. We left very angry and upset and wasted our time trying to figure out why the waitress was trying to charge us extra. I was very very disappointed coming here after having high expectations. Ended up going to McDonald's right after since we were still hungry. Even there had better service than Shamshiry. Save your money, time, and self-respect. Will never be coming again nor would I recommend.
